Richard finch real estate3/20/2024 ![]() Neglecting my gut feeling, I continued to try & make it work due to caring about what people would think of me if I slowed down my business. I knew from the moment I opened up the online book to taking the first quiz that online wasn’t for me. Overall, I paid for the state exam five times, and showed up to four of them & failed every time. It took me almost a year to finish the course. During this time, I was very busy & it seemed unfitting to take it any other way at the time (I was a TC, but a personal assistant as well). At this time, I wanted the license to better my TC business solely, I did not want to become a realtor because I saw how much work these agents put into their business & didn’t know if I was strong enough to do the job.įast forwarding, a realtor-friend so willingly paid for my real estate course & I chose to take it online (via book, no instructor). In the midst of doing TC work the desire to attain my real estate license came about. I grew in my self-identity through this time as I built these relationships. Having these entrepreneur relationships challenged the relationship I had with myself (physically, emotionally, spiritually & mentally). Not long after working with this agent & team, I gained another top agent to work with & it took my business to another level. Persevering through uncomfortable & hard times allowed me to reach where I was at this point. I was weary about being good enough to be their TC because I was new to the game! Long story short, I persevered through those feelings & excelled- was a fast learner & grew from any mistakes that occurred. My first customer I did TC work for was a top-producing agent with a team. Being surrounded by a different type of field changed my life & brought much self-reflection that led to the beginning of much self-growth. Although my journey as a TC started as a side hustle it soon led to me pursuing it full-time. Pursuing a TC business would give me that challenge back, but also be able to help people- not in the same way. ![]() I’d become unhappy doing behavior therapy because the challenge was gone as it truly became second nature to me. At the time, I was still in the field of behavior therapy & doing TC work as a “side hustle” due to experiencing inconsistent hours (due to COVID). I began my journey as an entrepreneur in 2021 when I decided to start a small transaction coordinator (TC) business. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
